2017 Oregon Gambler 500: TeamMcSoobaru

The Gambler 500 is a Navigation Adventure Rally using cheap, impractical or fun vehicles. Open to all who are self reliant and up for the challenge. In this video, I summarized hours of video we took. The weekend began with us road tripping in our Gambler car from north of Seattle to Portland for the night. Saturday morning we rolled into Portland Meadows for staging where they released teams in batches.

Nearly 900 cars turned out for the event, so the staggered release meant the navigation points, sometimes single lane nfs roads, weren’t congested.

At first I was disappointed. I like a good competition, and at the Gambler 500 no one knows or cares if your team hits all the navigation points.
