COPS BUST INTERNATIONAL GAMBLING RACKET AT PORVORIM
Porvorim police have raided a gambling den running from rented premises at PDA colony and have busted an international gambling racket using a banned Chinese poker gambling app.
Police have arrested three persons namely Shashank Singh n/o Patna, Rajnish Kumar (31) n/o Bihar & Anup Palod n/o MP and seized Rs 5.5 lakhs & electronic devices used in gambling worth Rs 20 lakhs.
Initial investigation revealed that the accused mastermind used to include own men in the online gambling and used to cheat the other gamblers. Element of Hawala has also surfaced. Due to international connection, the trial has been transferred to Crime Branch.
