Will Twitch Kill Gambling Streams?

Is Twitch finally cracking down on the slots meta as more legal experts begin to question the legality of gambling streams?

In a new article by Wired, Twitch officials have said they are closely monitoring gambling content on the platform, which is rattling similar wording to their releases before they cracked down on the Hot Tub and ASMR Meta. Many legal experts have questioned if these gambling streams were in fact illegal, and it seems like Twitch is finally taking notice of the potential danger of gambling on stream.

Big Twitch streamers like Adin Ross, xQc, and Trainwrecks have all been paid to host gambling and slots streams, and Mizkif revealed that he was offered a crazy amount of money per hour todo a sponsored gambling stream himself. But the question has always remained, with gambling illegal in many of the states these Twitch streamers are streaming in, are these streams legal? And even if they are, is it ethical to allow it on Twitch?

With Trainwrecks recently revealing he had lost 2 million dollars of his own money off stream on these gambling sites, and xQc quitting gambling streams because he was afraid he was getting addicted, is this the kind of content really right for Twitch? With Twitch now publicly announcing they are keeping an eye on the slots and gambling meta, we may have our answer rattling soon.
